2019

Shwe Oae Biological Waste Water Treatment Plant

The Shwe Oae Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the earliest and largest facilities of its kind, built to address environmental concerns associated with distillery operations. Our plant, with its extensive capacity and advanced technology, not only manages wastewater from our own processes but is also equipped to serve as a central wastewater treatment facility for nearby factories, helping them effectively manage and reduce their environmental impact.

Founded as a limited company, SMM Shwe Myanmar Beverage Company Limited was established by consolidating all our distilleries and bottling plants into a single, unified entity. By 2015, we had become one of the leading brands in the liquor industry. Since the beginning of our journey, our dedication to continuous improvement, sustainable practices, and a consumer-oriented approach has strengthened our market position. We are proud of fostering a win-win mindset with our partners, which further enhances our strong industry standing and ensures mutual success.

2010

AYEYAWADY DRAGON CO., LTD.

In 2010, we established our very first bottling plant, marking a pivotal step in our production process. This facility was dedicated exclusively to bottling, allowing us to streamline operations and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our beverage packaging.

In 2008, we established the Shwe Oae Distillery in Yangon, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This new facility represented a major advancement in our production capabilities, allowing us to enhance both the quality and diversity of our beverages. With its increased capacity and modern technology, the Shwe Oae Distillery enabled us to meet growing consumer demand and set new standards for excellence in distillation.

1997

Shwe Myanmar Distillery (Mandalay)

In 1997, we constructed one of the largest distilleries of its time, the Shwe Myanmar Distillery, in Mandalay. This major development marked the launch of the Shwe Myanmar beverage business, quickly establishing our presence as a key player in the local market and earning a reputation for excellence, quality, and reliability.

In 1995, the Myin Pyan Distillery and Bottling Plant expanded its operations in Nadaungkya, Mandalay. This expansion greatly increased our production capacity, allowing us to fulfill the growing demand for beverages in the region.

In 1994, we constructed the Shwe Yi Oo Distillery and Bottling Plant in Phone Taw Toe, Mandalay. This facility marked a major advancement for our operations in the Upper Myanmar region, enhancing local beverage production and contributing to regional growth.

Htate Tan Distillery (Ho Phone - Shan State)

Htate Tan Distillery (Ho Phone - Shan State)

We established the Htate Tan Distillery in Ho Phone ( Shan State) in 1993. This development boosted the local beverage industry by introducing a diverse range of products to better meet our local consumers’ tastes.

White Orange Distillery

In 1994, we founded the White Orange Distillery in Yangon. Its establishment not only strengthened the local market but also extended its influence beyond Shan State. The distillery has made a significant impact on Yangon’s cultural and economic landscape by creating numerous job opportunities and supporting the community.

In 1992, we built another plant in Myin Kya Doe- Shan State, to expand our beverage production capabilities. This new facility enhanced our local manufacturing and distribution efficiency.

In 1989, after a decade of experience as distillers, we opened our first distillery in Mong Pawn, Shan State. This milestone marked the beginning of our journey in the beverage industry.
